Will Universal Hosting help me to transfer my domains?

When you've subscribed to our services, if you wish to manage your own domain, you only need to point your domain to our DNS server. However, if you would like to renew and transfer the domain name to our registrar and allow us to manage your domain so that you can concentrate on building your web presence, you may do so our our privileged price.


Will I see any downtime if I get my domain transferred?

No, you will not see any downtime. Domain transfers usually take a couple of days to complete. While some end users may be visiting your site at its new location, others may still be receiving old information and are being routed to your previous host. During this time, it is best to stay with your old hosting provider until the domain has been properly transferred and is pointing to Universal Hosting's servers. After which domains are transferred, then you point the domain to the our server, which will then incurr a 24-72 hours downtime for DNS propagation.


How long does it takes to setup my account?


Universal Hosting will setup your account within 24 hours period upon receiving of your payment. This excludes the time required for DNS propagation, which might take up to 24-72 hours.

Do you have a demo account which I can try first before making up my mind?

Unfortunately, we do not provide such services due to security reasons. We do need you to signup with us before we can let you try our services as we need official contacts in case something goes wrong. We provide a 7 day money back guarantee policy, so within the 7 days and you're unhappy with our services, you can request for a refund.


I wish to try out one of your lighter packages first. Is it possible for me to upgrade / downgrade later on? What are the charges involved?

You are free to upgrade or downgrade your plan anytime during your stay with us. There are no additional charges for your change of plan. If you are upgrading your plan with us, you just have to pay for the pro-rated usage of the new plan till the end of the month. If you are downgrading your plan, we will even pro-rate the service amount that you have unused for, and refund the amount to you.

I don't need those email accounts, can I convert the email space to web space instead?

As all of our web hosting plan features are bundled for value pricing, it is not possible to convert email space to web space. However, if you require custom packages, please contact sales@uhostsg.com for further information.


Do Universal Hosting provide any phone support?

Universal Hosting's primary customer support is via Email, and all enquiries/problems will be responded within 24 hours. However, customers may request for our customer service officer's personal mobile number so that you can contact our staff in case of emergency or any catastrophic downtime. Having said so, this is limited mainly to text Short Message Servier(SMS) only, or phone calls if CSO permits, and these numbers are given at CSO's sole decision.


What sort of payment do Universal Hosting accept?
